Summary:A goal with independent municipality project, within the area of trade policy, was to connect scattered and limited resources, both on the political and on the administrative side. The attempts included different types of cooperation between the agency of business development in the municipality and the governmental offices for agriculture, fishing and labour market. Five municipalities were to do this, among others Hadsel, Hamarøy and Vega in Nordland. This project carried through a process evaluation of their experiences in this fishery municipality in North-Norway, the focus was on changes and development in business directed work in the municipalities, and how this resulted for the businesses. One has studied 954 cases in the main selection through 2 years and 252 cases of economic support given from the municipality to businesses, and it was also made a questionnaire given to 164 persons in different business in the municipality.
