Description
Summary:A strain of facultative anaerobic bacteria of the genus Exiguobacterium is isolated from oil-contaminated permafrost-affected soils. Its properties and phylogenetic characteristics have been studied. Also the influence of strain on the activation of the biological degradation of oil and oil products was tested. It is found that the method of introduction of the resulting strain at contaminated sites helps shorten the petroleum hydrocarbon degradation in the soil and aquatic ecosystems. Depending on the ambient temperature a 7 days recycling oil in an aqueous medium under the influence of the strain reaches 13-81%.
