Description
Summary:Soil temperature is measured in 0, 0, 0.05, 0.3, 0.55, 0.8, 1.05, 1.55, 2.05 and 2.55 meters below the surface on a dry dryas heath, close to the meteorological station M2 and within the ZEROCALM-2 active layer monitoring plot. The site is called ZEROCALM-2_upper (see map in: GeoBasis_Zack_Soil_properties_ZEROCALM-2_upper_Soil_temperature.pdf). Temperature is recorded every hour. Measurements were initiated in september 2012. Blank cells are missing data. Temperature is measured with Geo-Precision thermistor strings. Soil properties:Soil properties GeoBasis Zackenberg:The GeoBasis monitoring programme focuses on selected abiotic characteristics in order to describe the state of Greenlandic terrestrial environments and their potential feedback effects in a changing climate. Monitored plot data is up-scaled to a landscape level and is used to improve ecosystem models to be able to quantify these feedback mechanisms. The GeoBasis programme provides an active response to recommendations in international ...
