Description
Summary:Soil temperature is measured in +0.03, 0, 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25, 1.50 and 2 meters below the surface in a water logged Eriophorum fen, south of the meteorological station M2 and within the ZEROCALM-2 active layer monitoring plot. The site is called 'ZEROCALM-2_lower'. Temperature is recorded every hour until 2015-09-01, from which point temperature is recorded every 6 hrs. Measurements were initiated in september 2012. Blank cells are missing data. Temperature is measured with Geo-Precision thermistor strings. From 2015-10-27 and onwards temperature sensors in 0.5 - 2 meters are broken. Site terminated in 2017. Soil properties:Soil properties GeoBasis Zackenberg:The GeoBasis monitoring programme focuses on selected abiotic characteristics in order to describe the state of Greenlandic terrestrial environments and their potential feedback effects in a changing climate. Monitored plot data is up-scaled to a landscape level and is used to improve ecosystem models to be able to quantify these feedback ...
