Description
Summary:Soil temperature is measured in 0, 10, 15 and 30 cm under salix vegetation adjacent to the BioBasis plot Sal-1. The soil temperature sensors in 0 and 15 cms were installed in 2002. In 2006 the sensors were broken and in 2007 new sensors were installed in 0, 10 and 30 cms depth. Temperature is recorded every hour all year round. Blank cells are missing data. Data from summer 2015 to summer 2016 is missing, due to erroneous data download. Soil properties:Soil properties GeoBasis Zackenberg:The GeoBasis monitoring programme focuses on selected abiotic characteristics in order to describe the state of Greenlandic terrestrial environments and their potential feedback effects in a changing climate. Monitored plot data is up-scaled to a landscape level and is used to improve ecosystem models to be able to quantify these feedback mechanisms. The GeoBasis programme provides an active response to recommendations in international assessments such as ACIA and SWIPA; and is continuously being adapted based on AMAP and ...
