Description
Summary:Soil moisture has been measured in 5, 10 and 15 cms depth from 2003 - 2006. After the 2006 season the logger box disappeared and the sensor cables were cut. Thereafter one moisture sensor was installed in 10 cms depth and soil moisture has been measured manually using a ThetaProbe from 0 - 6 cms below the soil surface. The plot is located on a salix heath, adjacent to the BioBasis phenology plot Sal-1. Soil moisture is measured manully every week, during the snow free season. Blank cells represent missing data, due to frozen or snow covered soil. Soil moisture measurements at the site was terminated in 2015. Soil properties:Soil properties GeoBasis Zackenberg:The GeoBasis monitoring programme focuses on selected abiotic characteristics in order to describe the state of Greenlandic terrestrial environments and their potential feedback effects in a changing climate. Monitored plot data is up-scaled to a landscape level and is used to improve ecosystem models to be able to quantify these feedback mechanisms. ...
