Description
Summary:No abstracts are to be cited without prior reference to the author. An attempt is made to estimate coefficients of the natural mortality and abundance of different year classes of cod at stages of 0-group, 0+, 1+ and 2+. The basis is a model of survival of the abstract cod generation from 0-group to the age of 2+ and the assumption that variability of abundance at this stage of fish life is sufficiently less than the variability of the corresponding indices. The coefficients of natural mortality ???? independent on the populational density are calculated coming from the assumption that they are stable for cod at the age of 0+ to 2+. It is shown that coefficients ???? depend on the summarized average weighed abundance of cod at the age of 1-4 years, temperature minimum, mean biomass of capelin and mean abundance index of euphausids during the first two years of cod life. Coefficients ???? are approximated by the empiric multiplicative model. Abundances of different year classes of cod at the age of 3 determined by both ...
