Summary:No abstracts are to be cited without prior reference to the author.In the work by Malkov (1991) the relationship between the module of the polar orbit radius of the Earth pole movement and dynamics of herring and cod populations for several decades, including the first half of 1980s was researched. This work continues similar researches based on the materials on the radius module, estimates of the spawning stock abundance and biomass of these populations in the second half of 1980s and 1990s. The coefficient of correlation between the abundance of three-years-old Norwegian spring-spawning herring of year-classes 1975-1991 and the radius module in their birth year is + 0.64 (Р=0.01). The similar coefficient for Arctic cod of year-classes 1985-1998 is equal to + 0.62 (Р=0.01). Earlier revealed peculiarities of commercial stocks recruitment and recurrence of the spawning biomass of the population have proved to be true.
