Description
Summary:Various data sources are used to derive the biomass flow from fish to the fish themselves, to fisheries, and to marine mammals in six ecosystems: Eastern Bering Sea, Norwegian coast and Barents Sea, North Sea, Benguela current, Georges Bank, and Balsfjorden. The largest proportion of fish biomass provides food for the fish themselves in all areas. The North Sea has the highest loss of fish biomass to fishing. Possible reasons for this are discussed. ...
