Summary:The OSPAR‐MON assessment was evaluated and some advice was given to MON concerning presentation. Ratios between contaminant concentrations in Quasimeme data were compared with field data from monitoring in order to explain shifts between laboratories measuring in the same area. This will be continued intersessionally. Work on Barents Sea sediments was not continued. As no data were available, an intended normalisation of sediment data could not be performed. Germany reported the progress on a large survey on the North Sea. More results will be available in 2009 ...
