Description
Summary:These design files can be used to recreate an cost-efficient profiler that can carry different sensor packages to allow for autonomous dives in the upper two hundred meters and convey its location by satellite communication. The Arctic Research Center Cost-efficient Ocean Profiler (ARC-COP) is a student-built autonomous profiler/float made to do profiles across strong density gradient waters (from 998kg/m^3 to 1040 kg/m^3) such as in arctic coastal waters with meltwater input from rivers, glaciers, icebergs and sea ice. The ARC-COP is controlled by an Arduino Mega and can do weeks of profiling. It is made for easy usage and with its weight of 17 kg it is easy to deploy by a single person from a small boat. Construction parts are verified by FEA and CFD analysis. 2D-drawings (technical drawings) are attached for production guidelines. Software is well tested and commented. PCB layout is ready for production but easy customized.
