Data include the following: (1) daily precipitation totals for the basin (in mm) and the six precipitation regions; (2) annual and seasonal values for atmospheric-circulation indices and six precipitation variables; and (3) a GIS file of the precipitation regions. The six precipitation variables are as follows: (1) precipitation totals; (2) frequency of precipitation days; (3) daily precipitation intensity; (4) the 90th percentile of daily precipitation totals; (5) frequency of heavy-precipitation days; and (6) maximum number of consecutive dry days. A precipitation and heavy-precipitation day have at least 1 mm and 25 mm, respectively, of precipitation. The circulation indices are as follows: (1) the Atlantic Meridional Oscillation (AMO) index; (2) the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) index; (3) the Niño3.4 index; (5) the Pacific-North American (PNA) pattern; (6) the Bermuda High Index (BHI); and (7) the Western Bermuda High Index (WBHI). ...
