Description
Summary:The ITEX species pool protocol outlines methods for quantifying the size and diversity of the species pool around long-term monitoring ecological plots. The protocol is distributed across members of the ITEX network (https://www.gvsu.edu/itex/) to collect data on the species pool and plant traits across Arctic and alpine tundra sites. We developed this protocol to answer questions about the differences between plant biodiversity and traits inside small-scale monitoring plots and across the surrounding landscape. We welcome new sites - for any questions or to express interest in the protocol, please get in touch with Gergana Daskalova (gndaskalova@gmail.com) and Christian Rixen (rixen@slf.ch).
