Summary:This dataset contains binary maps of ice (1) and open water (0) in Hornsund fjord, Svalbard at 50 m resolution. The maps are based on the RADARSAT-2 archive between 2.01.2012 and 1.03.2016 with an average image frequency of 2.38 days for the entire period and of 1.74 days for the 2.01.2012-18.11.2014 period after which the acquisition became sporadic. This dataset is an extension of the Sentinel-1A/B-based one (doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.963167; Swirad et al., 2023) processed in the way described in Swirad et al., 2024 (https://doi.org/10.5194/tc-18-895-2024).
