Pollen and non-pollen palynomorphs of the sediment core EN20001 from Lake Khamra ...

48 pollen samples from Lake Khamra were prepared using the established protocol with added Lycopodium marker spore tablets. To store samples and prepare microscopic slides, water-free glycerol was used. The palynomorphs were counted and identified using a light microscope AxioZeiss (400x magnificatio...

Description
Summary:48 pollen samples from Lake Khamra were prepared using the established protocol with added Lycopodium marker spore tablets. To store samples and prepare microscopic slides, water-free glycerol was used. The palynomorphs were counted and identified using a light microscope AxioZeiss (400x magnifications). Besides pollen a variety of non-pollen palynomorphs, such as spores, fungi, algal and invertebrate remains, were also identified and counted when feasible. This study was additionally supported by a short-term grant (not numbered) from AWI Graduate School (POLMAR), and PhD Completion Scholarship (not numbered) provided by University of Potsdam. ...
