Summary:During several expeditions to the Southern Ocean (JB03, ANT-V/3, ANT-VII/3, ANT-X/3, ANT-XIV/2, ANT-XVIII/5b and ANT-XXII/2) photographs of copepod and other zooplankton species from net samples were taken. The specimens were either identified in live samples onboard or later in the lab in formalin preserved samples which is also noted in the metadata. Live specimens were caught with Bongo nets, while preserved specimens were caught with a multinet. Photographs were taken through the ocular of the stereo microscope. No scale is provided, but a link to the respective WoRMS species page where sizes for adults can be found.
