Description
Summary:Weekly sea ice motion data produced at the University of Colorado Boulder have been combined with various ancillary satellite data products to form an Arctic sea ice database from 2001 through 2014. These data include individual ice parcel locations on a 12.5 km EASE-Grid paired with MODIS ice surface temperatures, SSMI/SSMI-S ice concentrations, PIOMAS model thickness, and APP-X albedo and radiative data. Each ancillary product is sampled at every parcel's location for a given week, and the resulting data are stored to produce an overall history for each parcel tracked in a given year. The minimum latitude is 29.9° N.Further information on the individual products included in this data set can be found at the following links: - Sea Ice Motion Vectors: http://nsidc.org/data/docs/daac/nsidc0116_icemotion.gd.html - MODIS Terra Ice Surface Temperature: http://nsidc.org/data/docs/daac/modis/mod29e1d/index.html - SSMI/SSMI-S Sea Ice Concentration: http://nsidc.org/data/docs/daac/nise1_nise.gd.html - PIOMAS Model Thickness: http://psc.apl.uw.edu/research/projects/arctic-sea-ice-volume-anomaly/ - APP-X Albedo and Radiative Data: https://stratus.ssec.wisc.edu/products/appx/datadetails.html
