Description
Summary:The purpose of this work was to determine the biomass water content. Biomass was harvested at Zackenberg valley, NE Greenland, at 2-4 July 2014 at 10 locations. At every location, 3 replicates were taken with a size of 20x20cm each. All above-ground biomass was harvested and packed in plastic bags with zippers. Within 24 hours after harvesting, the biomass was brought to the lab, weighted and oven dried until the weight did not change for 24 hours. All other locations from 2013 were flooded or still snow covered in 2014 which made harvesting imposible.
