Chlorinated hydrocarbons in zooplankton of the North Atlantic, supplement to: Orlova, I G (1987): Chlorinated hydrocarbons in ecosystems of the North Atlantic. Oceanology, 27(6), 701-705

Description
Summary:Data on distribution of chlorinated hydrocarbons in ecosystem components of the North Atlantic, i.e. water, hydrobionts, and bottom sediments, for the period 1980-1984 are presented. Distribution char¬acteristics are considered as a function of various factors (physiographic conditions of the area, species composition of zooplankton, mineral composition of bottom sediments) for each of ecosystem components. Dis¬tribution of concentration factors of chlorinated hydrocarbons in individual hydrobionts and bottom sediments are determined. Maximal distribution coefficients are those of integral plankton samples (up to 5 orders of concentration magni¬tude).
