(Table 1) Primary production in the Arabian Sea in May-July 1966, supplement to: Kuzmenko, L V (1968): Primary production in the Arabian Sea in the summer monsoon period. Oceanology, 8, 367-371

A radiocarbon survey of primary production in the Arabian Sea was carried out during May to July 1966. Production ranged from 0.8 to 30 mg C/m**3 per day at the surface, and from 0.1 to 3 g C/m**2 per day in the photosynthetic layer. At most stations photosynthesis was found to be maximum at depths...

Description
Summary:A radiocarbon survey of primary production in the Arabian Sea was carried out during May to July 1966. Production ranged from 0.8 to 30 mg C/m**3 per day at the surface, and from 0.1 to 3 g C/m**2 per day in the photosynthetic layer. At most stations photosynthesis was found to be maximum at depths of 25-30 m, and its lower limit was at 75 m.
