Description
Summary:The PIs collected high resolution CHIRP data in Lake Cresent by towing an Edgetech SB512i onboard a small catamaran behind a small boat. Located at the foot of the Olympic Mountains in western Washington, Lake Crescent is a deep glacially carved lake occupying portions of two steep-sided fault-controlled valleys. The lake dates to around14 ka, following retreat of the Juan de Fuca lobe of the Cordilleran ice sheet to the east. The depth of the lake is ~190 m deep.
