Description
Summary:This data set was acquired with a ship-based Navigation system, Echosounder Sonar, Thermosalinograph, Fluorometer, and Meteorological Sensor during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0409 conducted in 2004 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Ronald Kiene). These data files are of JGOFS format and include Conductivity, Navigation, Temperature, Infrared Radiation, Meteorological, Fluorescence, Salinity, Bathymetry, and Visible Radiation data. This data set was created from calibrated data decimated at 1-minute intervals. Several fields are derived measurements from more than a single raw input. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Impact of solar radiation and nutrients on biogeochemical cycling of DMSP and DMS in the Ross Sea, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OPP02-30497 and OPP02-30499.
