Description
Summary:This data set was acquired with a ship-based Gravimeter and Subbottom Profiler and Gravimeter during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0202 conducted in 2002 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Peter Wiebe). These data files are of MGD77 format and include Bathymetry, Gravity (Field and Free Air Anomaly) data that were processed during the cruise. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): SO GLOBEC: Water-column phytoplankton primary productivity, SO GLOBEC: Water-column nutrient analysis, SO GLOBEC: Mesoscale Circulation, Tides, and Mixing, SO GLOBEC: Krill distribution, physiology, and predations; Copepod prey abundance, SO GLOBEC: Seabird distribution and abundance, SO GLOBEC: Hydrographic modeling, both biological and physical, SO GLOBEC: Zooplankton distribution, abundance in the water column and sea-ice/water column boundary, and SO GLOBEC: Mysticete Whale Acoustic Census in the GLOBEC West Antarctic Project Area, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OPP01-96489, ANT99-10007, OPP99-10102, OPP99-10175, and OPP99-11731
