| Summary: | In the project MICROSNOW the ecological role of the small copepod Microsetella norvegica in the sub-Arctic Balsfjorden, Norway, was investigated. As background information, also the phytoplankton community composition was investigated twice in June 2017 and once in June 2018. At distinct depths (0, 10, 20, 50, 90, 120 m), water was collected with a 30 L GoFlow bottle and a subsample of 100 mL was preserved with acidic Lugol’s solution (1% final concentration) taken for later analysis. The remaining water was used for to investigate different developmental stages of the small copepod M. norvegica (data available under the projectID "Microsnow_2017_2018_Balsfjord" in GBIF). ... |
