Description
Summary:Gavia spp. count data acquired from aerial surveys performed between 2001 and 2018 during the spring season on the German North Sea. ... : Data was provided by: BioConsult SH GmbH & Co. KG, IBL Umweltplanung GmbH, Institut für angewandte Ökosystemforschung GmbH, and the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN). For each year, spring (from 1st March until 15th May), aerial data from different sources was aggregated by mesh node (5km resolution) and type of survey: Digital (HiDef, APEM, DAISI) or conventional. Conventional aerial data is already corrected for distance sampling. Data is stored as a "Large SpatialPointsDataFrame" in rds format to be opened using R software. The ZIP file contains two rds files: 1. diver_counts_2001_2018_spring.rds: the main dataset with the aggregated bird counts. 2. mesh_5km.rds: the spatial mesh used to aggregate the counts. Constrained refined Delaunay triangulation spatial mesh a maximum distance between nodes of 5km covering the German North Sea; to be used as support file to construct the model. Code: readRDS(file="mesh_5km.rds"). Coordinate system: UTM32N (EPSG:32632) "+init=epsg:32632 +proj=utm ...
