Description
Summary:Feeding activity of marine planktonic copepods, estimated as production rates of faecal pellets, in incubations conducted during the daytime and at night, and in the absence and the presence of predators. ... : The dataset includes data from three laboratory experiments (Exp4, Exp5, Exp6) conducted at the Kristineberg Marine Research Station (Sweden) in autumn 2019 with the aim of analysing the effects of day/night and absence/presence of predators on the feeding activity of marine planktonic copepods. The copepods and the predators (krill) were collected in the Gullmar Fjord. Copepods were incubated under limiting (Exp5) or saturating (Exp4, Exp6) food conditions during the daytime and at night in the absence and presence of predators, and faecal pellets produced by copepods were collected at the end of the incubations to determine copepod feeding activity. ...
