Description
Summary:Norwegian Earth System Model (low resolution). netcdf 3 format. Technical details: Production machine: Cray XE6 in Bergen (hexagon). Model source: projects EU FP7 project Past4Future and BCCR SKD project DYNAWARM. Model components: atmosphere=CAM4; ocean=MICOM; land=CLM4; sea ice=CICE4; coupler=CLP7. Horizontal resolution: atmosphere/land=3.75x3.75 degree; ocean/sea ice=~3 degree. Output frequency: monthly. LIG simulations branch off from PI simulation at model year 495. All simulations use modern land-sea distribution, topography and bathymetry, ice sheets and vegetation. Four LIG simulations are forced by fixed PI GHG, and orbital parameters corresponding to 115 ka, 120 ka, 125 ka and 130 ka (suffix Gpi). Two LIG simulations are forced by lower GHG levels as set by PMIP3, and orbital parameters corresponding to 125 ka and 130 ka. No other forcings, or changes in boundary conditions. All LIG simulations ran another 505 yrs.
