Description
Summary:The article summarizes human influence on arctic-alpine tundra in the Krkonoše/Karkonosze Mts. It considers period before the National Park establishment as well as later changes, and mentions also protective measures applied by N. P. Authorities to reduce the damage. The most profound changes in physical-chemical soil conditions were caused by alkaline road building material used in 1970’s and 1980’s, generating roadside vegetation with high amount of synanthropic species.
