| Summary: | Four species of aquatic plants were identified as new for Slovakia. All were discovered in revised herbarium material. Three native species, namely Potamogeton compressus, Potamogeton obtusifolius and Callitriche hamulata, were previously neglected because of their rarity and/or difficult identification. An American species Najas guadalupensis was found escaped from aquarium cultivations or rather intentionally planted in the wild. |
