Description
The oil complex of Eastern Siberia and the Far East is the most dynamically developing center of Russia. Since 2000, the main increase in oil production in Russia has been carried out by eastern regions, which are currently the priority regions in the long term. Large-scale development of oil production in the east allowed organizing a new major industrial center, to provide access to the energy markets of the Asia-Pacific region, and therefore the study of the status and prospects of development of oil and gas in the east of Russia is important. The present research is devoted to analysis of the problem of coverage of the current state of the oil and gas industry in Eastern Siberia and the Far East. For the purpose of studying the state of things in the industry in the east of the country the authors consider different sides of the oil and gas sector. First of all, the statistics of oil production from fields and differentiated by region are considered, taking into account the dynamics and plans for development of mineral deposits by the largest oil producers. Then, the paper deals with the issue of associated gas utilization in Russia. Another important aspect of the study of oil and gas industry state is analysis of the oil refining industry, in particular, the volume of primary oil refining, the level of refining capacity and load at refineries in Eastern Siberia and the Far East. Studying the oil and gas industry in Eastern Siberia and the Far East, it should be noted that a strong incentive to increase oil production in the east of the country appeared to be the adoption of timely decisions on public construction of the main oil pipeline "Eastern Siberia Pacific Ocean", port infrastructure, supplying and connecting pipelines. Under the conditions of stagnation and decline in oil production in the traditional production regions (namely, Western Siberia), stimulating the growth of production in Eastern Siberia and the Far East seems to be one of the priorities in the context of sustainable development of oil and gas sector of Russia as a whole. Analyzing the export of crude oil in the eastern part of Russia, it has been shown that the main direction of oil supplies from fields in Eastern Siberia and the Far East are the Asia-Pacific region. The main routes of maritime oil supplies from Eastern Siberia and Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Japan, China and South Korea. In addition, oil supplies are carried out in the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, the US, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, New Zealand and Australia.
