Description
At the present stage of social development trends of cultural universalization make the world community raise issues of preservation, study and actualization of ethnic and cultural heritage. The territory of Western Siberia is especially interesting as it is the heart of traditional culture, and ethnic intellectuals work actively to revive the customs. The indigenous peoples of Western Siberia, inhabiting the Ob River basin and its tributaries including Vasyugan, have their name on the basis of territorial and linguistic characteristics of the Ob Ugres or Khants and Manses. The traditional culture of Vasyugan Khants who reside in the territory of Kargasok, which researchers attribute to the eastern group, is practically lost now. The realities of culture that disappeared from everyday life are concentrated mainly in museums. In this regard, it is important to study the forms of actualization of ethno-cultural heritage, i.e. to involve museum collections in different museum activities addressed to the visitor. The article classifies three areas of museum activities: stock, exposition and cultural and educational work. Stock work includes the acquisition, registration, storage and study of heritage objects. Exposition is one of the basic directions of museum work, the basis of museum communication. According to the modern interpretation, a museum exhibition is a purposeful and evidence-based demonstration of museum objects that are composi-tionally organized, provided with commentary, decorated technically and artistically, eventually creating a specific museum image of natural and social phenomena. The exposition activity is a basis for the museum's cultural and educational activities implementation. The educational activities of the museum include excursions and lectures, musical and literary salons, nights, museum holidays, project groups and museum centers. On the example of the Art Museum of the North (v. Kargasok), the implementation of various areas of the museum work is examined. It is noted that the museum staff has a positive experience in the development and implementation of thematic expositions of various cultural and educational programs. The composition of the fund and its museum potential were characterized. The practice of innovative work with visitors in the museum was covered. The out-of-museum direction of cultural values transmission was described. It was concluded that the Art Museum of the North plays an important role in preserving and actualizing the ethnocultural heritage of indigenous peoples residing in the territory of Kargasok Area.
