Summary:The experience of the first introduction of seven individuals of St. John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum L.) of different geographical origin into a subzone of the middle taiga of the Republic of Komi was discussed. A biochemical estimation of a medicinal herb – St. John’s word – as to the content of flavonoids and naphthodianthronic pigments (hypericine and pseudo hypericine) was given.
