Summary:The results of tropohy characteristics of wild boar in Kirov Region as to subzones of forests for a period of 19792005 are given. The obtained data are compared with analogous parameters in other regions. In the European part of the country trophy characteristics increase from the south to the north. The best trophies are those taken in the subzone of south taiga.
