Description
Summary:With the methods of helminthologic dissection and caprological studies the helminthofauna of a digestive tract of domestic and wild reindeer and musk oxen living in the Taimyr was studied. The helminthofauna of domestic reindeer does not differ from the helminthofauna of wild reindeer. In all, in a digestive tract of reindeer 11 species of helminths belonging to 8 genera that occur both separately, and in combination are found. Helminthosis of a digestive tract are observed in the form of monoinvasions and associative invasions. In the East Taimyr in musk oxen and wild reindeer five species of the nematodes Trichostrongylus that are common for both species of animals parasitize. Common species of Moniezia are also observed. It is obvious that the Taimyr population of wild reindeer is a large «reservoir» of a parasitic infection for domestic reindeer and musk ox.
