Description
Summary:In non-arboreal plants of the forests of Central Kamchatka that are traditionally used by the people of the peninsula the concentration of 34 microelements was revealed with a spectral analysis. The content of microelements in wild plants on certain sites significantly exceeded the admissible concentration limit. In the immediate vicinity of thermal springs the area was found where the concentration of Pb in Chamerion angustifolium exceeded the admissible concentration limit by 10 times, Sb – by 1500 times, and Cr – by 5 times. The sites unfavourable for gathering wild plants were revealed for all studied plants except the berries of cowberry. It turned out that the berries of cowberry even on the most polluted sites do not accumulate toxicants in the concentrations exceeding the admissible concentration limit. The results of that study contributed to the correct revealing of the sites (favourable in a geochemical aspect) for industrial gathering of berries.
