Summary:The number of the species of mushrooms used by the people of the Perm Region is invariable and amounts to 10–15 species. In the north of the region it makes up 5–6 species. Due to the research in the Perm Region 278 species and intraspecific taxa of edible agarics belonging to 16 families that form 37% of the whole mycobiota were found. The most extensive families are Russulaceae, Tricholomataceae, Boletaceae, Agaricaceae. The most numerous genera are Russula, Lactarius, Cortinarius, Suillus, Leccinum and Agaricus. In 49 genera there are less than 10 species. The greatest number of edible mushrooms is in the south taiga subzone of the Perm Region (258 species) and the least one is in the middle taiga subzone (99 species). The majority of edible mushrooms are those forming mycorrhiza (64%), saprotrophs make up 14%, xylotrophs – 12%, humicolous saprotrophs – 10%. 13 species of edible agarics should be entered in the Red Data Book of the Perm Region.
