In the article are examined the urgent questions of the Indigenous Peoples Rights Protection of Russian North, Siberia and Far East. Author itemizes drawbacks in Russian legislation of Indigenous Minorities Rights regulation. For example, the usage of numerical criteria in definition of Russian Indigenous Peoples is not corresponded to international standards. There is still kept uncertainty in the question of ratification of the ILO Convention № 169 on Indigenous and Tribal Peoples in Independent States. Eventually author comes to conclusion that Russian Indigenous Minorities are needed in close attention to them under the conditions of globalization and active reclamation of natural resources in North, Siberia and Far East. There is emphasized that in Russia is not formed yet the system of law maintenance and protection of the Indigenous Minorities interests. There is also said about the necessity to bring in balance the Russian legislation in accordance with international norms.
