Summary:Urban habitat is a special ecosystem since the antropogenic effect is the greatest here resulting in pollution of the environment as a whole and the atmosphere in particular. Atmospheric precipitation can be used as an indicator of air pollution. Research work on defining the content of technogenic pollutants in snow deposits of Arkhangelsk is being carried out on the basis of Chair of Chemistry of the natural geographical faculty of Pomor State University.
