Description
By the present time the Bronze Age in the north of Western Siberia remains poorly studied. In the article is analyzed the first results of the excavations of two dwellings at the settlement of Lov-Sang-Khum III in the basin Synya river in Shuryshkarsky region of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. It can be argued that both of the excavated dwellings operated simultaneously and were the one village. At least three objects on the settlement are dated from the Late Bronze Age. Absolute dating is performed by the isotope С14. Uncalibrated date was 2850 ± 35 years ago (Le-8264), which allows date the settlement from 1130 910 years BC. At the settlement was possible to fix the traces of its own bronze casting production: fragments of crucibles and dippers for casting, bronze drops. Excavation of the settlement Lov-Sang-Khum III called in question an assumption about the presence at this settlement the carriers of Atlym culture, which was previously uttered by the author. Ceramic, which was attributed as Atlym type, was left unknown culture media, although, perhaps, akin to the latter (the main difference from Atlym type consist in predominance the round bottomed or pike bottomed of the dishes, but not flat bottomed). This form of vessels is the hallmark of Lozva tableware and in ceramics of other cultures of the Late Bronze Age in the north of Western Siberia is very rare. Judging by the ceramic collection, at the village of LovSang-Khum III the representatives of different cultural traditions lived together. As a result of this, a special syncretic type of ceramic formed, which not illuminated in the literature to present moment. The Trans-Ural ceramic tradition (Lozva culture) are clearly seen on the settlement, that were penetrated here, apparently, from the basin North Sosva river across the river Lyapin. In addition Lozva component, the bright tradition of Low Ob region traced at the settlement of Lov-Sang-Khum III, which were characterized by figure-stomped ornamentation bearing a close analogy with the early Atlym ceramic of settlement Malyiy Atlym and Barsovo ceramic type of Surgut Obdistrict. Thus, during thousands of years Synya river was a particular territory in which took place the meeting of the Trans-Uralian and Low Ob region traditions. This interaction led to the formation of a special type of monuments in the Late Bronze Age. The pottery of the settlement Lov-Sang-Khum III clearly demonstrates the symbiosis between the cross-pit and figured-rolled traditions in ornamentation. It is so distinctive that dictates necessity of allocation of Synya local cultural type of the Late Bronze Age.
