| Summary: | Structural parameters of spring zooplankton community in the northern Okhotsk Sea and their relation to the sea ice cover are analyzed for the years 2000 and 2001 (as the years of "cold" type because of vast ice cover) and 2004 and 2005 (as "warm" ones because of low ice cover). Total biomass of zooplankton over the whole Region did not differ between the "cold" and "warm" years, although the biomass in the northeastern corner of the Okhotsk Sea was higher in "cold" years.
