Summary:Fourth International Workshop on Marine Technology (Martech 2011), 22-23 september 2011, Cádiz.-- 1 page The Unidad de Tecnología Marina is a technical unit that belongs to the Spanish Research Council (CSIC) and it is the main service provider to the Spanish marine research community. It manages different sea-going facilities as well as the Spanish Antarctic Base (BAE Juan Carlos I). In late 2010, two small AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles) were acquired as testing beds for R+D and instrument platforms for marine research in littoral and shallow waters.
