Description
Summary:4 pages, 2 figures.-- X International Symposium on Oceanography of the Bay of Biscay, April 19-21 2006, Vigo, Spain The water column above the Prestige wreckage was sampled during two consecutive campaigns: Prestinaut (December 2002) and HidroPrestige0303 (March 2003). A slight increase on dissolved copper concentrations from December to March was obseved. Measured values for the Prestinaut campaign (1.05-5.16 nM) and for the HidroPrestige0303 campaign (2.74-5.3 nM) are generally above the typical values reported for this North Atlantic area (0.7-3.22 nM) before the Prestige accident Spanish CICYT coordinate project "Biogeochemical budget and modelling of heavy metal fluxes in a Galician ria (METRIA)", ref.
