Description
Summary:Phytoscope : PHYToplankton biOdiversity multiScale Characterization using advanced OPtical TechnologiEs The aim of Phytoscope, funded by the Total Foundation, is to demonstrate the feasibility of high-resolved oceanographic optical data for better understanding of phytoplankton biodiversity and dynamics. In order to overcome this challenge, different methodologies based on advanced observational technologies such as hyperspectral optical sensors and high spatial-temporal resolution platforms are being explored and optimized. This project is a coordinated research initiative carried out by two research groups from the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM, CSIC, Barcelona) and the Alfred-Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research (AWI) and Institute for Environmental Physiscs (IUP) of the University Bremen (UB) Peer reviewed
