Description
Summary:This is a book of short fictional stories based on contemporary pop psychology. The King of Crap is a king who does not know he is a king. Responding to early put-downs, he sees himself as nothing more than a shoveler of crap -- until a woman has confidence in him and encourages him to experience his own worth, in fact his kingliness. "Backpack Land" (12) is about a land where people put negative experiences as bricks or rocks into their personal backpacks and live with them for the rest of their lives. The heroine of the story at last decides to take bricks out of her backpack and to stop putting them in. In the last line of the story, freed from her backpack, she drives out of backpack land.
