Summary:Two men and a woman are in front of a large white house with clapboard siding and gable end facing the street. The two men stand on either side of the woman, who appears to be seated. The man on the right holds a bicycle. Behind the group is a picket fence, which runs along the front of the house. The house has a doorway to the right and windows framed with louvered shutters. Two of the people are apparently Rev. and Mrs. Parker, identified as friends of Captain George Comer of East Haddam. Infrastructure Lifestyle Title supplied by cataloger. On rear: "Parsonage/ Little Haddam/ Rev. & Mrs. Parker". Captain George Comer (1858-1937) was a sealer and whaling captain from East Haddam. He went to sea while still in his teens and was later master of vessels from both New London and New Bedford, and participated in voyages involved in polar expeditions.
