Description
Summary:This cruise report from the Swedish Antarctic Research Programme SWEDARP 88/89 gives a detailed documentation of the Swedish expedition to dronning Maud Land and the Antarctic Peninsula during the Austral summer 1988/89. The expedition was in many respects a historical event in Swedish polar research. It was the first all-Swedish expedition to the continent since Nordenskjold's voyage in 1901. It is also the biggest Swedish polar expeditin ever and it marks the begining of Sweden's active participation in the Antarctic Treaty and SCAR.
