Summary: | The working group is composed of one or more members from each Party, and subject to approval by CSRS designates one official chairperson who shall preside over the working group and act as the primary representative for the working group. The working group will report annually to CSRS on progress of its work that will include proposed changes in membership. The primary goal of the BASIS Working Group is to understand how climate change will affect productivity of Bering Sea Pacific salmon and steelhead trout. Subject to approval by CSRS: The BASIS WG shall on an annual basis draft an annual implementation plan for joint BASIS research and an annual report to summarize BASIS results; coordinate individual national BASIS research plans and reports of results, survey methods, external funding, and other aspects of cooperative Bering Sea Pacific salmon and steelhead trout research; provide information for outreach materials for the website and other media, as required. |
