| Summary: | The relationship between the biological distinctive features of wild migratory birds and the ecology of influenza A virus in nature is revealed. On the basis of literature data and personal research, the im-portance of viral carriers with regard to the prevalence of the virus among the wild birds species, the seasonal variations, age-rated susceptibility, subtype distribution and the transmission in wild and domestic birds are reviewed.
