Description
Summary:Detectable characteristics of Cherenkov radiation emitted by extensive air showers (EAS) of cosmic rays in atmosphere used to be connected with longitudinal development parameters of the electron cascade. In this paper we present the results of the Yakutsk array data analysis concerning air Cherenkov light measurements with autonomous sub-array. Light intensity at 100 m from the shower axis is used as a measure of the primary energy. A connection is discussed between the shower attenuation and measured characteristics.
