Description
Summary:General Linear Model (GLM) and Generalized Linear Model (GENMOD) were applied to generate the standardized catch per unit of effort (CPUE) for South Atlantic albacore caught by Taiwanese longliners from 1968 to 2001. The selection of the subarea followed Wu and Yeh (2002). Both standardized CPUE series, estimated from GLM and GENMOD, appeared to have similar fluctuations. The standardized CPUE series show a decreasing trend from the initiation of the Taiwanese longline fishery to the lowest level in 1990, and has leveled off since. RÉSUMÉ Un Modèle linéaire général (GLM) et un modèle linéaire généralisé (GENMOD) ont été appliqués pour produire la capture par unité d’effort (CPUE) standardisée pour le germon de
